Burglary Near You - Fairbank Road

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Fairbank Road, this occurred on Thursday 22nd January approx. 1825hrs and 1842hrs the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

Locus is end terrace in built up residential area. Between times on date stated, suspects attend in a blue vehicle VRM unknown, gain access to rear door by snapping off door handle/lock by unknown means. Suspects make untidy search of upstairs rooms and egress via rear door and leaving in same vehicle. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Thursday 22nd January 1800-1900hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
